I’m Steph. I’m an orthodontist and photographer living in San Francisco. Welcome to my blog!

Following a leisurely weekend free of any kind of labor, words will be sparse tonight as I declare war on all of the assignments and projects that I have put off in the past four days.
In spite of the stifling late-summer Southern California heat wave, 144 members of the Ostrow School of Dentistry Class of 2015, their friends, and family gathered at the Bovard Auditorium for the traditional white coat ceremony on Friday afternoon.
Today was a good morning. You know why? Because for the first time in a week, I got more than 4 hours of sleep at night. It came at the expense of skiving physics, but it was worth it.
As a college student and dental school hopeful, sleep is something that is often put on the back burner. Between taking 18 units, studying for the next midterm, writing a 10 page paper, part time jobs, extracurricular activities, trying out new restaurants in Los Angeles, and those chaotic Thursday night parties, there isn't much time left for sleep.
I was elated to see an email from UCSF about supplemental applications. I was not elated to see the countdown clock ticking away as soon as I opened the supplemental website. Apparently, each applicant has exactly 14 days from the time UCSF sends you the email to complete the supplemental application.
I don't really have much to post about, except for the fact that physics sucks. Have you ever taken a class where it seems that the more you study, the lower your grade is on the midterm?
12:30pm. I took a deep breath and finally pressed the E-Submit button on my AADSAS application, keeping my fingers crossed.
